Thanks to great food, the place’s personality and design, George’s Restaurant is considered a legend. A year after the tragic events of 9/11, with structural damage caused by the terrorist attack, George’s Restaurant had to be demolished. The owners, George and his son Billy Koulmentas, stood in front of the rubble and decided that they had to rebuild. They owed it to the generations of people who considered this small restaurant a haven of rest and relaxation. The new George’s is now bigger and better than the old one, double the size and still a gem in this Lower Manhattan neighborhood.
George’s menu is characterized by its vast variety. Breakfast, lunch and dinner are offered and there is even brunch on the weekends. So whether you would like to eat your fresh eggs in the morning, grab a sandwich for lunch or have an elegant Chicken Florentine for dinner, George’s will make sure that you enjoy your meal and feel like you are at home. Order once from SeamlessWeb and you will have a new Downtown favorite!

it took over an hour to deliver! and the food could have been ok, but it was so cold and soggy, I couldn't tell if it was any good.

Breakfast burrito was disappointing and WAY overpriced.

always amazing

Food is hit or miss. Breakfast can take over an hour to get and then it is cold once it gets here. Some of the people there are friendly, others are extremely rude and tell you to not order again if you are unhappy with the service.

Cheese Ravioli was out of this world delicious!! I'm not a big fan of red sauce, but the smell and the taste was amazing!! It also came with a yummy roll and a huge side salad. Will order again soon :)

Ordered for the first time recently. Was "ok" for a burger and fries. Delivery on time. Would try it again.

Food okay, but always prompt, good about contacting you if they do not have what you want. Usually get the food right and convenient hours

Great pancakes!

"Healthy Salmon" platter was actually canned tuna and potato salad with coleslaw. Gross. Same with Chicken Salad platter, however, that was a little more understandable even though unexpected.

I ordered waffles from this place in the afternoon and they took like an hour to deliver and it wasnt what I expected. I do not recommend

Love being able to order breakfast any time of day and weekends, even a 3-egg ham and cheese omelette (with a choice of cheeses!) The hot open Virginia ham sandwich comes with a light gravy, served separately so you can add as little or much as you like. The hearty Monte Christo sandwich will almost make two meals. Consistently good.

Consistently better-than-average. Occasionally slightly better than that, but a good, solid choice for most items, especially the burgers.

I love George's because they have a good selection of food from chicken fingers to Italian dishes. And the delivery guys are always really nice.

I've lived in the financial district for several month now, and I have yet to come across a better all around deli than George's. Their burger platters are outstanding (the fries are great!), and the portions are exceptional for the price. Their delivery is quick and they always get the order right. Their breakfast is fantastic, too. Overall, I am very satisfied with George's.

The George's burger will always be my favorite. The portions are great for its price and I have yet found an item that I didn't like from Georges. Highly recommended!

Working the weekends downtown is terrible for finding a decent meal... especially the early hours of the morning. George's opens nice and early. Food is great a delivered hot!!

Food is basic, but dependably good. I've ordered from here many times and they've never messed up my order and the delivery is always quick.

I ordered tonight at 8:38, my food had arrived by 8:46. It tastes just like a diner should, and the service is fantastic.

The random chicken vein floating around in my matzoh ball soup was really off putting but I was enjoying it up until then.

I was very disappointed. I ordered the fried fish sandwich platter which was with tip over $15 and requested extra tartar sauce and a wedge of lemon. What I got was a very soggy sandwich, undercooked fired, sour cole slaw, and no lemon and absolutely no tartar sauce, not even on the sandwich. I ended up throwing the whole soggy mess away. What a waste, and I am still hungry. Stay away from this place.

Food takes over an hour, when I called and asked to speak to a manager about this (it has happened before) I was hung up on. They just lost my business.

Good greasy food...just what you want when you need it (brunch food and fried food for those late night/next day moments)

When ordering breakfast be careful. They charge you a dollar for a banana and will give you only half. It only makes sense to give the entire banana for a dollar.

every time I ask for my french fries well done, they arrive hardly cooked.

HORRIBLE. Worst lunch I ever had. $27.00 for two people. Soggier than soggy fries and they forgot the drinks

WORST DELIVERY EVER. The people who work here have no sense of direction or customer service. DO NOT order if you want your food on time and delivered to the right direction. I had to spend 30 minutes running around trying to find the delivery guy. WORST RESTAURANT

I ordered bacon and egg on a roll toasted. To be fair, the sandwiches is fine but what i don't like about was I wrote the instruction "ketchup and black pepper on egg". When i opened, it has no ketchup no black pepper and not tasted the roll there. I am not sure if they are rushing to make the sandwiches or what. But i Definitely do not like the way they do business there.

I was severely disappointed in my order from George's. I ordered the Egg's Benedict w/Lox. Well, they sent me regular Egg's Bene...no lox. Plus, I asked them to substitute french fries for home fries. I guess if they can't be expected to read the item I ordered correctly, I shouldn't expect them to bother reading the notes either. The home fries remained uneaten since I didn't want them. Then to add insult to injury, they didn't bother to send a knife to cut the food, and even worse, they didn't send a straw with my milkshake. Thank god I didn't order the extra thick. I don't think I'll be ordering from them again. They can't seem to get a simple order correct.

Food was different in order then what was described in the menu. Missing bacon etc. When I called to complain, they were rude on the phone, kept passing me the phone on to another employee and in the end refunded me $1.00. Would not order from here again.

You can always count on George's. Food is good, order is always 100% correct, delivery is fast. The only thing is that it would be nice if they had daily specials.

Gave me french fries instead of homefries with my order. good eats.

When we order from George's we love it. The only catch is if they can get the order right as they tend to deliver the wrong meal about 40% of the time.

Not sure why George's only had 2 stars, so I wanted to add my review. This is the best diner delivery downtown by a huuuge margin. I like their omelets and the grilled chicken club. Strongly recommended, I order from here twice a week.

ordered roast beef on a bagel. oh boy that was rough. the roast beef was hard and very fatty. not a good choice. will not order again

very average diner food. they changed the fried chicken batter recently which now makes it nearly inedible . the only reason why we ordered from this place. we will not order from here again.
